Nice Cover, but look at that price for a 4 disc set! That's at least 10-15 dollers more than any of the Looney Tunes sets.

Don't worry, $64.98 is also the suggested retail price for the Looney Tunes sets. I am sure you will find most places selling it in the $45 price range... just like the LT sets.

Ditto. I'm really looking forward to this DVD now. I might not buy it right away but it's definitely one of my "Things to get for 2007" list.

It's been on my "must buy"-list for a while. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to wait a bit. Since I don't live in the US, I have to pay pretty steep import fees for anything more expensive than $30. So to spread the fixed fee across more items, I'll wait until I have other expensive items I want to buy.

Didn't WB promise two Popeye sets this year? If so, I'll probably buy both of them together with LTGC5 in November.

Wow! I can't wait for this set! I had a 16mm print of the restored Sinbad pass through my hands and I literally lost it over how beautiful it looked (luckily it didn't get on the print). It will be nice to have it on DVD.

As usual, the low point will be the John K commentaries.

But Since Bob Clampett, Chuck Jones, and Friz Freleng never had anything to do with Popeye, we at least wont have to worry about the usual "[insert director here] GOOD!! [insert second director here] BAD!!" (unless he decides to drag Disney into the mix).

On another note, I hope that WHV will make a featurette on the restoration on the Popeyes, since this DVD set will make the first time that a classic Paramount cartoons series has ever been issued on home video with the Paramount logos reinstated

This looks incredibly awesome. 60 restored Popeyes, uncut, with tons of extras a la Golden Collection? Bring it on!
