Here is a cool mutt and jeff cartoon for sale, Ray Pointer should buy it and put it on a new edition of his "Mutt and Jeff" DVD.

Seeing those imagines makes me want to think back to having watched a crappy colorized/redrawn version of the same cartoon from a video my mom bought 20 years back.

That is a 3-minute segment from MIXING IN MEXICO.
I have a complete Astra TV print with some minor edits (the source material Ladd would have used.)
It's a good cartoon with an early animated on-screen example of cross-dressing.

Thanks for the extra info. I wouldn't have mind wanting to throw up pics of it's color remake (at least they got the music correct for the short than resort to some cheesy stock library tunes the other shorts typically had). Another short Ladd redone as well "Egyptian Daze", featured scores that often remind me of porno flicks from the 70's too easily. You can't get music like that anymore these days, I miss it!

Yep, I'm only amused at how funny that bit turned out to be in that particular short. I think the plot involved how Mutt gets Jeff to have springs on his feet to make him taller as the matador, while he was going to trick the bull into sneezing with pepper or such (while cross-dressing as a pretty senorita). Obviously that plan fell through quickly once some hombre had to take an interest in Mutt's femimine looks! In the end, it all turns out fine and dandy with Jeff winning mucho dinero.

Getting so nostalgic for that, I might just throw that particular cartoon I mentioned earlier up on YouTube for some of you to view (since I know you'd love to watch horribly executed color redrawns so badly).

Actually Studio, it's odd that Ladd didn't use the ancient soundtrack that was on the Astra print used. Then again, the audio quality was not good.
We've already established a mutual liking for Ladd's choice of music tracks, but let me reiterate how much I'd love to find loads of stock music like that!

Mutt & Jeff in "Soda Jerks"
Mutt & Jeff in "Mixing in Mexico"
Mutt & Jeff in "Egyptian Daze"
Felix the Cat in "Mister DO-ALL"

Well, whatever else one might choose to say about those redrawn Mutt & Jeffs, they at least (particularly in the case of "Soda Jerks") retain more sharp visual detail than you'll ever see in a Korean-executed Looney Tunes or Popeye short! (Or, for that matter, in the two redrawn Mutt & Jeffs that keep turning up on PD DVDs.) Rating: Tolerable.

As for Felix, who ever dreamed up that color scheme for his antagonist?!??!!
