Default Mouston

I've been going through the Gemstone "Mickey & Friends" comics and there appears to be a bit of a controversey going on in the letter columns. Apparently the folks and Gemstone and the folks at Disney no longer like using the name "Mouston" as Mickey's hometown. Disney likes "Toon Town" and Gemstone has lumped Mickey's gang into "Duckberg" a few times. Which name do you prefer? (I've thrown some new names in the mix just for fun...).

I think it should be Mouston. Mickey should not reside in Duckburg.

Hey Jon!

I like Vermin Valley too, but I've got news— since the time that letter column was published, "Mouseton" was used in a couple of issues this Spring.

Perhaps Mouseton sits in the Vermin Valley of Mousouri county. Rat's Nest sounds like a seedy bar located in Mouseton and Rodentville could be a subdivision.

IMO, I find Toon Town inappropriate for the comics because it takes you out of the world the characters live in.

What about "Mousachusetts" or "Moussissippi"?

I know it's an Egmont standard, but it makes no sense for Mickey's gang to reside in Duckburg if they don't regularly associate with the Duck family (and I know how they hate 'universe' crossovers...).

Mousetropolis. Its sounds cool, and very futuristic. Besides, Mickey would go far there.

I like "Toon Town"; It's not just for mice, but for all the other species of toons!
