Default The End of Boomerang Latin America

Maybe this is not the place for news, but is terrible!!!!!!!, Boomerang latin America changes to a Family Channel.
At first, Boomerang Latin America channel was concibed as a secondary brodcast signal of CN, in fact, CN mentioned it. Nevertheless Boomerang got an identity by transmiting classic cartoons of Hanna-Barbera, from Huckleberry Hound to Swat kats, including the Flintstones, the Jetsons and others. It also transmited old anime like G-Force, Speed Racer and Kimba the white Lion. But a new style of programs will be transmited in Boomerang, using the Nickelodeon formula, starting April 3 2006. This changes include a "just for kids" programs; The Triplets, Magic School Bus, and others, most of them that used to be showed by CN like Jackie Chan or Winx Club from morning to midday, then, and until dusk, from 18:00 to midnight, LA comedies like Harry and the Hendersons or Flipper will flod this channel, and after that thereŽll be a "classic Boomerang block" that will have the actual shows of Boomerang like Bugs Bunny,Tom & jerry and others like Jonny Quest, Wacky races, James Bond Jr. and Totally Tooned In.

This is the logo of the "New Boomerang" and other promo images:

In other news, Cartoon Network announced it's new logo as a statement to classic animation lovers everywhere:

Reportedly, this logo is soon to appear on all incarnations of the Boomerang channel worldwide.

(The above news article and picture are fictitious, but for all intents and purposes may as well be true. )

Love to see a network try that!

Kinda sucks if that's the case. Just like what's going on up here.

Still, not a bad logo revamp I say. Also, in some anime friends' heads, Cardcaptor Sakura could be look at as a classic none the less!

nothing like Cartoon Network running Ace Venture 2 this evening to really understand that they've given up going head to head with Spongebob.

Does anyone know if the braintrust at CN has a vision of their future or are they just faking to look like they know what they're doing?

You know, considering Boomerang LA's current schedule was 80% crap, I don't really mind this change. At least it means we're getting Totally Tuned In again.

When I was in the Dominican Republic two years ago, the first cartoon I saw on it was a Speedy Gonzales cartoon. They had a decent mix of cartoons for the week I visited.

Maybe someday CN will start to put a better lineup, i noticed latly that there playin Swat Cats on CN a cartoon that not aired on CN since the early 00 season.

anyone know if CN dumping more of there Craptoon line up i noticed a few more of the older not liked toons are
going down in over plays.

I love the New CN, that was put up here, that sums up the email i got from CN a few years ago, saying they were goign to an inhouse lineup which they soon found out was a complete disastor. (email was from 02).
