Default The Wii Thread

Since I'm sure many of you own (or have owned) a Nintendo Wii, I figured this would be a good opportunity to make a new thread devoted to the system. If you own one, what games do you own?

I own the following games:

Wii Sports (of course)
The Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Wii Sports Resort
Mario Kart Wii (which I actually bought on Amazon.com just yesterday, so I'm waiting for it to come in the mail).

On a sidenote, how does the Wii version of Mario Kart compare with the DS version?

I finally got a Wii recently, although I kind of wish I had waited just a little longer, so I could have gotten the black version.

Anyways, so far I have the following games:
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Pokemon Battle Frontier

Oh, and I guess Wii Sports

And for the Virtual Console, so far all I've downloaded is Super Mario RPG and Kirby's Adventure. Since Kirby Super Star was recently released for the VC, that'll probably be my next download.

Unfortunately, when I lived with my mom, she prohibited the owning of the original NES since A> we couldn't afford it and B> we already had an Atari 2600 that still works but has been put away until I moved out, hence my status of gaming DORK! Actually, the real dorkness came when my mother wouldn't let me go to the video arcade and blow coins on the Pac-Man machine. Thanks alot, mom... NOT!

Wait, where was I going with this? Oh yeah, the Wii. Well, I got myself a Wii so I could play Toy Story Mania since I was worried I would not be able to go to Walt Disney World and play the ride there. Since then, I've been searching for good games that would satisfy my simple classic arcade skills. Even though I've been playing Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros. for Virtual Console, and Namco Museum Remix and Data East Arcade Classics, not to mention Wii Sports, I haven't been able to actually "win" any games. I am on the lookout to purchase Sonic the Hedgehog on VC. Just imagine playing a Sega Genesis game on a Nintendo console. Now if only I could find the Strategy Guides that my sister had when she had the Sega Genesis games. She used to like Sonic the Hedgehog, but strangely enough only as a character.

So, can anybody recommend any Wii games for someone who hasn't exactly broken free of the classic gameplay mode? I regret that I only have one Wiimote to dedicate to my gaming. Have I also mentioned that I am a gaming DORK!?

Is anybody going to get Super Mario Galaxy 2? I sure am, even though I have yet to buy Super Mario Galaxy...I have it reserved in two places Target and Best Buy (I'm just going to ignore Target, because Best Buy offers me $10 in rewards while Target offers just a $5 gift card). I also have another $5 rewards from another purchase...so it'll cost me about $35. Cha-Ching!

I think the better question is this; who isn't?

IGN and Gamespot both gave Mario Galaxy 2 the rare score of a perfect 10. Unfortunately, I won't be playing it for a while, since I'm still playing the original MG (I only have about 16 stars in it so far - I just got it for Christmas).
