I sorta a blame Warners Marketings was messing up the short. Originally Daffy was suppose to dress up as Superman, but Warners wanted him as Duck Dodgers so they can sell more artwork based on the film.

Daffy's wardrobe has nothing to do with the crappiness of the short (although, it does screw up the Superman joke towards the end). The cartoon has no story to speak of, too much talking, and needless cameos.

Besdies, I still think that if Daffy WAS in a superman outfit, then LT fans would have accused Chuck for trying to somehow top McKimson's Stupor Duck.

How? It not as famous or well known as "Duck Dodgers". I don't think many fans would notice.

I think Jones was just obsessed with his earlier work or something.

And why is it that when he depicted Duck Dodgers in later stuff, he always had those hanging straps on the ends of his headpiece? They were fastened in the original cartoon, but not in this or that Return of thing.

I just always found that kind of a pet peeve, for some reason...

Aw man, that sucks! When will CN learn that us classic cartoon fans cannot live on Tom & Jerry alone? Heck, they even pulled classic Scooby-Doo off their schedule! Maybe if they learned that the reason they are failing now is because they have lousy shows on their lineup!
