Good selection! Nothing unusual, but like the New Years' marathon, they picked from the best of the best.

1:00pm:
Odor-Able Kitty - a.a.p.
Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century - WB-owned color cartoon
Gee Whiz-z-z - WB-owned color cartoon
Beep, Beep - WB-owned color cartoon
Crowing Pains - a.a.p.
Tom Turk and Daffy - a.a.p.

2:00pm:
Stage Door Cartoon - a.a.p.
Great Piggy Bank Robbery - a.a.p.
Hare Tonic - a.a.p.
Going! Going! Gosh! - WB-owned color cartoon
Porky Pig's Feat - Sunset (colorized most likely)
Bad Ol' Putty Tat - WB-owned color cartoon

3:00pm:
Sandy Claws - WB-owned color cartoon
Bugs Bunny Rides Again - a.a.p.
Bugs Bunny Gets the Boid - a.a.p.
Nasty Quacks - a.a.p.
Walky Talky Hawky - a.a.p.
Bye, Bye Bluebeard - WB-owned color cartoon

4:00pm:
Ballot Box Bunny - WB-owned color cartoon
Holiday for Drumsticks - WB-owned color cartoon
Backwoods Bunny - WB-owned color cartoon
Cat-Tails for Two - WB-owned color cartoon
Goofy Gophers - a.a.p.
Water, Water Every Hare - WB-owned color cartoon

5:00pm:
High Diving Hare - WB-owned color cartoon
Little Red Riding Rabbit - a.a.p.
Duck Amuck - WB-owned color cartoon
Bugs and Thugs - WB-owned color cartoon
Hyde and Hare - WB-owned color cartoon
Hyde and Go Tweet - WB-owned color cartoon
Rackeeteer Rabbit - a.a.p.

6:00pm:
Swooner Crooner - a.a.p.
Scaredy Cat - WB-owned color cartoon
What's Opera Doc - WB-owned color cartoon
Long-Haired Hare - WB-owned color cartoon
Back Alley Oproar - a.a.p.
One Froggy Evening - WB-owned color cartoon
I have indicated each cartoon's television package, putting "a.a.p.", "Sunset" or "WB-owned color cartoon" next to each title depending on what package it was in.

Total of cartoons by package:
WB-owned color cartoon (8/1/48 or later) - 21
a.a.p. (color cartoons before 8/1/48, Harman-Ising Merrie Melodies #2-27) - 15
Sunset (black-and-white cartoons not acquired by a.a.p.) - 1 (will probably be computer-colorized)

Be on the lookout for an a.a.p. print. The cartoon most likely to bear the a.a.p. logo is "Nasty Quacks".

And I really hope we don't get the "butcher shop" version of Scaredy Cat (where after Sylvester sees another cat about to be beheaded, Porky lets him sleep in his bed seemingly without any fight - that was not the case in the un-butchered version). In fact, I hope there isn't any "butcher shop" version aired. To quote Foggy from Crowing Pains with an alteration: "let's bury the hatch-, I say let's bury the hatchet - but not in our cartoons, boy!"

In other words, air the LT cartoons as they were originally released. I appreciate being able to watch them on TV again, but eventually CN needs to stop censoring them.

I thought Turner no longer had the rights to the post-48's?

They do now. And since both the "pre-48" and "post-48" packages include some 1948 releases, I now use the terms "pre-8/48" and "post-7/48". Alternatively, I refer to these packages as "a.a.p." and "WB-owned color cartoons".

I was thinking about taping this, but aside from 1 cartoon, there's not much point for doing so.

But hey, at least the Looney Tunes are back! Isn't that all that matters?

I saw the advertisement showing that the Looney Tunes were locked in a closet all these years.

But, if that's truly the case, why were the Looney Tunes "available" for New Years? Where were they before that?

Playing in the background is the 1941 MM theme, which has become very synonymous with the a.a.p. package itself, due to being the theme playing on the a.a.p. intro, and also because many of these cartoons were reissued with this theme.

Oh, and XD at part of the URL being similar to a certain 5-letter word for a female dog.
