Default My LT fanfic: Hard Times for Daffy

What with all the struggling and desperation the Looney Tunes are going through this decade, I have been writing a very amusing kind of story. It is a trilogy I entitled "Hard Times for Daffy." Daffy Duck is mad at CN and Boomerang for pulling him off of TV, and he also vows revenge against Pixar for helping endanger his career!

Here's Part 1...
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2796780/...imes_for_Daffy

And here is Part 2...
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3365583/...Daffys_Revenge

And Part 3...
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4231814/...y_on_the_Couch

Some of it is a little cheesy, but remember; this doesn't rely on the usual modern LT humor for most of the story, and is meant to be a bit darker, and also pokes fun at the usual LT gags/cliches.

I advise those Dexter's Lab fans might not want to read this, if there are any here.

Default Well, I got nothing better to do...

Yeah, wiley207, sorry if I offend you, but I got to get this (preread) out of my chest (I don't want to read all of the fanfic... yet).

1. I liked Dexer's Lab. Sure, it wasn't the greatest show around, but it was fun. Heck, I thought there were decent post-Genny shorts in the show. But, why do YOU hate it? I mean, I can think of much worse Cartoons Cartoons than Dexer...

2. I too miss the Looney Tunes on TV, but putting the blame on Pixar?

3. Pixar DID NOT ruined the Looney Tunes. I'm sorry, but they didn't. If they did, we would be ticked at them, but we aren't, mainly because they put out GOOD movies. I can understand if they make bad movies, but PIXAR ruinin gthe Looney Tunes good name. Heck, I think they're trying to preserve it!

4. "Back In Action" failed because no one noticed it that week and wanted to see "ELF" and "The CAT IN THE HAT". In fact, I don't think Finding Nemo was in theaters snymore, am I right?

There's more preread reasons, but I think that's enough.

However (again), I like the idea of Daffy "jouney" with Cartoon Network, so I'll give this fanfic a shot one day. Until then, put your anger on Pixar and Cartoon Network in another fanfic, okay?

I don't hate "Dexter." I like the first season of the show, and I like a handful of the episodes after that (mostly the Justice Friends-involved ones). I also like a handful of "Cow & Chicken" episodes.
Daffy wasn't putting the blame on Pixar for TV cancellation; Finding Nemo wasn't out in theaters anymore at that time, sure, but still beat LT:BIA in popularity.
And Pixar's "Ratatouille" DVD release helped kill the sales for LTGC: Vol. 5, thus ending the series permanently.

And the main reason why for all of that: DAFFY'S AN IDIOT!

Well, that shows I should read before I think, first off.

Ratatouille killing LTGCv5? Yeah, to make it blunt, can't see it. I mean, did you read a few of the posts over at the Stu's Show thread that there's theories on why LTGCv5 failed? I don't remember anyone typing "Pixar is the reason no one cares about the Looney Tunes anymore (darn kiddies)" in that thread.

You know, maybe I should of read that fanfic before I ranted my butt over CN and the Looney Tunes again...

Default Enough!

Alright, enough of this "looney toons is doomed WAHHHHH" talk, time to comment on the first part of this fanfic! Right after I read it, that is.

A FEW MINUTES LATER...

Okay, I'm back. Here's some of my thoughts...

1. I must say, there was some good gags in this (the Pocket Monsters comment, the ouch, and the whole running gag with the rubber masks wan't bad).

2. The Coyote/Scooby Doo was nice. Interesing to see these two together peacefully.

3. I still like the idea of Daffy complaining about his carrer with Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

4. Liked the goat reference (Foul Weather) with Sylvester.

5. I din't know, the ehole Sylvester and Chicken thing makes sense to me...

6. Good point on the stairs. Then again, I'm not in college or in some buliding.

All in all, not bad. I can easily picture some of the events in this.

However, I think it needs some improvement. The short story is that you should read the comments in that page, but the long story...

1. I can't picture Bugs having RAGE with anything (except Cecil). For example, I don't think he wouldn't fainted over some Annie.

2. Daffy not really that stupid. Nitpick, but I wanted to point that out.

3. I don't know, Wile E. Coyote talking like a normal human being doesn't really FEEL right. Sure, it works for the story, but I always picture him being silent. Then again, "Adventures Of The Road Runner"...

4. I think you need to work on your imaginy a little bit. I would love to know what the settings look like, but you didn't really mention it that well...

5. Finding Nemo wasn't THAT bad.

6. Eh, more action/plot, less talking. Once again, another nitpick there.

But all in all, not bad. Needs some improvement, but it was a fun read. Hope you write some more after Part 3.
