Default Interesting thing I noticed about "Goofy World of Sports" VHS

Back when I was little I had 2 Mickey Mouse tapes which were from the "Walt Disney Cartoon Classics VHS" series. They both had the same opening.

When I was 5 years old, my parents bought me a Goofy video for my birthday, called "Goofy World of Sports." It used the same opening as the 2 older Mickey Mouse tapes, except there was one thing I noticed different.

The clips from the cartoons used in the opening were much more faded on the two Mickey Mouse videos, then they were on the Goofy video. When I was little I used to think that they looked faded because the Mickey videos were older than the Goofy video. Now that I'm older I realize that they can't be the VHS that faded, Disney must've either touched up the cartoons with a computer, or they used better prints of the cartoons.

You can even see the difference on youtube videos.

I remember those videos and used to own a few I believe!

I suspect it may be the video transfer that might of improved though Disney did remaster some films in the 90's (I recall they did so for 1995 VHS release of Snow White) so its possible they tested that with these video releases

I actually looked this up and found this: Cartoon Classics Review

those older videos in the series are 1984 while the Goofy one is apparently dated 1992? Video transfer would of improved during that time, not to mention by that time Disney started getting itself sorted out proper

I have to say I have fond memories of the Limited Golden Edition which showcased some rarer shorts at the time including a lot of Figaro shorts I haven't seen in a long time since!
