This unusual cartoon can be seen on YouTube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=owev_Iw1kQw), at least for the time being.

It's very different, in every aspect, from what few traditional Terrytoons I've seen. The choppy animation gives the story an interesting perspective, and the voices and sound effects are very funny (mostly Rudolph's voice).

Just another reason why they should make Terrytoons more available.

Ah yes, that was Ernest Pintoff's first and only cartoon at Terrytoons.

In fact, Pintoff left BEFORE the film was completed. Gene Deitch had to fill in and finish it.

That's Jim Tyer, who did the key animation to the film.

Wasn't this cartoon done during the era when Terrytoons was introducing a new set of characters such as Clint Clobber, John Doormat, Gaston Le Crayon, and Sidney the Elephant to replace their traditional characters such as Gandy Goose and Heckle and Jeckle? Was Gene Deitch creative director at the time?

I like this cartoon. I've said that you don't need detailed animation to make a good cartoon. (I'm one of those people who thinks that UPA doesn't suck.) Although I enjoy beautiful detailed animations on their own merits.

Yep, this was that time!
