As it seems there is a fair amount of anticipation for the Oswald Treasures release featuring the silent Disney Oswalds, thought I'd share this curio....

Thanks for the response Tim, was beginning to wonder if anyone found interest in this at all? :o Anyway, it's from the July 30, 1927 "Universal Weekly" publication, which dates it after the "Poor Papa" mis-step, but before the Sept. 5 release of "Trolley Troubles". 'Tis interesting the continued use of the steroid pumped white rabbit, when Universal now had some actual footage to base their Oswald advertisement graphics on !

Del~

It is indeed interesting that Universal would use the refugee from the Easter egg-hunt:p rather than Disney's REAL Oswald at that point. Iwerks or Harman or Freleng could've drawn a better bunny for them (if they'd only asked:rolleyes: ). It may well be that this ad was drawn up waaaay in advance. Thanks for sharing it and the info about it!!
