When Rover's Rival initally aired on Cartoon Network I heard that only the redrawn version(for some odd reason) aired until they started airing the computer colorized. My questions are at what point did they start airing the computer colorized version of Rovers Rival? Also was Rovers Rival edited on the redrawn version on CN?

To be more clear I know that the computer colorized version of Rover's Rival aired in 1998-99 on Nick from when Jon Cooke told me. But when did it start airing computer colorized on Cartoon Network's version? Also are all prints of the redrawn version of Rover's Rival edited(not just Nick's version)?

Well, I can tell you that the "edit" in the redrawn version (the mean little pup's insults getting muffled) is definitely a technical error on the part of the redrawing-people and not an intentional cut.

If you listen closely you can hear in the background the wonderful people who colorized the cartoon having a conversation.

I have an old recording of the redrawn version of "Rover's Rival" from the late 1980's. I also remember seeing it broadcasted in syndication prior to 1990. On these showings, the pup's dialog was not drowned out. Perhaps this drowning out of the dialogue only shows up in the prints with the Warners lettering (copyright 1967 lettering on black covering the copyright of the title card from the originating cartoon, "Deduce You Say").

I guess the sound mastering is quite different in the 1980s reissues, I do notice that the W7 prints are mostly clipped at the beginning, whereas the reissues have the full music...

Good info, but when did Cartoon Network start showing the 1995, or 1998 (depending on how you look at it) computer colorized version of Rover's Rival?
