Hey Folks....
I'm finally(!) getting around to sending the updated 'little king' dvds to those who ordered early (the contents are the saem, except for the added bonus features). If you've ordered by Paypal, I should still have your address and will send. If you've ordered by mail, please send me your information again as I want to make sure I have everyone covered. Thanks again to all who ordered!

Steve:
I got mine recently through Amazon.com. It had Bonus Features. Is this the most current version of the disc.
BTW - Another home run for Thunderbean! I loved this disc!

I don't think I ever got a replacement disc and I ordered through paypal when it was first announced here. My father has been at the hospital these last few months and I with him and when I do get home to check my mail I never found such a disc. Was I overlooked or was it lost in the mail? It would seem a similar thing has happened with Warner and me about the Tom & Jerry Spotlight Collection 1 disc but the Disney Treasure More Silly Symphonies disc did arrive. Regardless, the original is one of my favorite DVDs and has been replayed many times since I got it.
What are the additional special features?

The updated versions of the Little King DVD discs are all either sent or being sent in the next day or so (there's only a handful left to send, mostly the ones going via airmail). The added bonus features were mostly by Chris Buchman, and great. Here's a reviews from Animated news.com that will saev my fingers from typin' too much tonight!

And one fo the new cultoons:

(wish he liked those commentary tracks a little more though.... ;))
The new dvds are coming right along- I've been transferring lots of really amazing material. They still take a long time to get together...
Got a BEAUTIFUL print of 'Party Panic' yesterday... good sound and complete with titles too! The little Winston Sharples song is really cute and starts out really nicely....
Still looking for original title cards for the early Rainbow Parades.. so far with little luck..
Still looking for the other missing KINEX films. SIGH!
Here's a few hints on new titles.....
One has many of the Rainbow parades you haven't seen...
One is 'The Return of the 30's Characters'
One has earlier films on it.... and some great ones.
One has very strange things on it as is part 3 of an ongoing series...
One is filled with the stuff you used to tune out between programs...
One has lots on animated films that are not drawn.
Under Ray Pointer's excellent advice, I won't reveal anything more until they are closer to being done.
I hope to announce at least a few new titles within the month. Stay tooned!
Also, I hope to have not turned the forum into a place of horse trading by saying I'm still looking for those Kinex shorts!

Hmmmm... Well judging from the "extras screens" I DO have the updated Cultoons Vol. 2, but don't have the updated Little King one... Since Steve was very kind and generous with me I'll just wait and buy the 'new and improved' Little King one later on a mite.:)

Soggie- one is on it's way to you ( I think!) Hopefully I got everyone on the list. I do know all the ones sent by paypal in the states have been sent, and the rest of the airmail ones are on their way today...
There are some good new discs in the making... worked on some restoration last night...

"I also wasn’t sure some disparaging remarks were quite appropriate on a DVD that is otherwise celebrating these lost gems, however good or bad they may be, though there are many useful nuggets peppered through the tracks."
Haw haw haw! Man, considering the folks involved, I can only imagine there was massive editing done to keep things as civil as it ended up sounding! :D
Keep up the good work, Steve, and I'll be watching my mailbox, as well!

Hey Steve,
Any chance of "Felix the Cat and Rarities From the 1920's" being re-released? That's the only Thunderbean title I don't own (besides the Stocking Stuffer disc).
Can't wait to see what's coming up in the future!

Lee.. your was shipped with the last batch to go (Friday!)....
Just in time for the 2 new Thunderbean disks to be released (more on that later this week!)
(They may take slightly longer now though, in light of the recent revelation posted on the list that I am only a enthusiastic fan / historical affectionato, I'm going to need to remove anything that might make anyone actually think I could possibly be a historian of some sort or another.... even 20 years in... I may also have to have everyone ship back all my discs since I'm not really a producer.. just a guy with good intentions!)

Yep! It would indeed seem that there are delays... (presumably none of them from the family of Tom DeLay:D. My punny-bone is needing exercise;) .)

Steve:
Just a quickie to let you know my disc arrived yesterday. You're right up there with Disney Home Video, as my Silly Symphonies replacement discs arrived earlier this week, as well!
It's really appreciated when a video company will supply upgraded replacement discs like this!
The additional bonus features really give a great overview of Soglow's career and his various different projects. The musical bonus is great, as well.
I guess what I'm saying is, "Thanks!"
