Does anyone know who the voice actor is that did the voice of the salesman in Friz Freleng's Jungle Jitters (1938)? The salesman that says "ah hope hope hope". I know it's not Mel Blanc. Mel did the voices of the natives but not the salesman.

The character was was done on radio by radio comedian Al Pierce who had a very popular radio show called "Al Pierce and his Gang" in the 30's and early 40's, which had several radio characters who were parodied in Warner cartoon and have a large number of catch phrases (I hope, I hope, I hope)was only one of the.
