hello everyone on the forum!
last weekend i went to a local fleamarket and picked up some videos with public domain cartoons on them ..
i was able to get both amos n andy cartoons from castle films a mickey mouse tape from kids classics
two different foghorn leghorn video both having the toon crowing pains
some other daffy duck and porky pig i did'nt realize that these were pd cartoons.
is there any way of getting a complete listing of allthe warner brothers cartoons in the pd
i've looked at other sites and found five bugs bunny cartoons past 43 that were considered public domain
and they are
the unruly hare
easter yeggs
rabbit punch
the long haired hare
and whats opera doc
the last two toons were on archive .org
if anyone can help me on this complete wb/pd toon list i would greatly appreciate it
i've also heard some people on here saying that the rocky and bullwinkle and bosko dvd from digiview may be worth some money is this true
thanks again

Hi there,
Welcome to the forums!
One of our resident GACers had a page listing all of the public domain Warners cartoons, but I forget who and can't seem to find the page. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

NONE of the above are Public Domain. All are protected by copyright. I have never seen any of the above Bugs toons on a PD compilation and they should not be there. All except the Unruly Hare have been released on LTGC DVD sets.
http://www.geocities.com/bugsvideo/pick.htm is a complete list of Bugs toons and tells which are PD.

PD WB toons have been listed before on this board, most are 1938-1943 toons which did not originally file for copyright, others include early Boskos.

Although UNRULY HARE is still protected, it DID appear on a 1992 Parents Approved Video Bugs Bunny "public domain" tape.

Did the "parents approved" video have the scene that shows Elmer looking at the picture of the sexy woman?
