This week's Hit or Miss Poll

Anyway, another D/S cartoon gets the hit/miss treatment (and I have no idea why). This particular cartoon often being considered one of the better D/S cartoons due to its nicer Daffy.

I, unfortunately, have to disagree with that. I thought the nicer Daffy seemed very forced. As if the directors were deliberately holding him back just to please audiences who were turned off by the mean/angry Daffy in prior cartoons like Assault And Peppered. Speedy is poorly used (as he is in just about every Alex Lovy directed short), and could've easily been replaced with any other co-star with absolutely no loss of focus. The cartoon's too cute for its own good. And the plot is so cliche it's probably not even worth mentioning.

So it gets a Miss from me.

Nonetheless, I'm glad to see at least a few people agree with me about this cartoon.

And Sog, the cartoon is Skyscraper Caper. It's at the top of the Poll Frame.

There really aren't too many other D/S cartoons worth polling now anyway (except may be Quacker Tracker, which is another one of the more popular cartoons in the series - but will probably still garner more misses than hits here). The "good cartoons" (Daffy Rents, Snow Excuse, Feather Finger, etc) have already been polled here before. As have the "at least more interesting" cartoons like Muchos Locos. Otherwise, with the exception of Quacker Tracker, I'm left with cartoons like Well-Worn Daffy and Assault And Peppered (which, of course, are probably the two D/S cartoons that according to many epitimize everything wrong with the series) as well as the almost consistently awful Alex Lovy directed shorts like this one - the only average-at-best cartoon in his series being Fiesta Fiasco. Not to mention "just-plain-bad" cartoons like A-Haunting We Will Go (which is admittedly a guilty pleasure for me because of its sheer ridiculousness, but I know most people here will disagree with me) and A Taste Of Catnip.

Laughing...:) And then Sylvester eating Daffy Duck:p... Following by Wile Coyote (weary of chasing the roadrunner) gobbling up Sylvester:D . And then Pet Puma ingesting Sylvester:tweety: . This is then capped by the Tasmanian Devil devouring Pete Puma. Then Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam gang up and blast the stuffed Taz into to little Taz cutlets:D . Bugs Bunny then blows Elmer and Sam to kingdom-come via a lethal load of TNT. And Porky Pit stutters "Th-th-th-that's All Folks!":ham:

LOL yeah. And many people loved that one because Daffy had a REASON to catch Speedy. Phew.
