So I was just watching an episode of Top Cat on Boomerang where Benny the Ball acquires a racehorse. The plot followed the common cartoon horserace theme of a sorry nag who becomes a superhorse under the right conditions.
Here's the thing: In the first half of the episode, the horse's "trigger" was a whistle from a peanut wagon. During the climactic race, the trigger was changed to a bell, and only a bell, with no mention of a whistle whatsoever. I missed some of the episode-was there a reason it went from a whistle to a bell, or did some writer just drop the (Benny the) Ball?
