Do you think that this year, the "Tom & Jerry Spotlight Collection vol.3" will be released digitally restored, uncut, unaltered, unlike the abuse we've seen in the past? My vote goes to hope, just to be optimistic.

I believe there may be hope.
I don't think that WHV will want to go through the trouble of mailing out all uncensored material again.

Of course I have been wrong on more than one occasion....

I'm less of an optimist and more of a realist. This set will be the same as the Droopy set: the CinemaScope shorts will be newly remastered, while the other shorts will be seen more or less in the same masters which have aired on Cartoon Network and Boomerang for years (notice how the blurb on the back of the box explicitly mentions that only the CinemaScope shorts are remastered).

Will it be uncut and unedited? Depends on who's pulling the masters and whether or not they know what they're looking for, because that's what seems to be the case. It's not that Warner Home Video is deliberately putting out the wrong material; it's just horrible quality control.

If we're going by the rear cover artwork released this week, then I would be forced to say "No" - because there should be 37 more cartoons coming to us but instead they are advertising 35. So somewhere 2 cartoons are going to left out, unless the cover art is wrong ...

By the way there is a gramatical error in your poll, It should read "I couldn't care less" not "I could care less", If I could care less, I would still care about it, but if I couldn't care less I wouldn't care at all! So kaseykockroach, please edit your poll.

BTW There really isn't hope, after all this set is done by the family division of WB not the Jerry Beck side, so we will see lots of cheap shortcuts.

No, there's not hope for Tom and Jerry, at least on the subject of volume 3.

However, I hiope there's hope for what we all REALLY want; A boxset with all 115 shorts uncut and as restored as possible.
