Cin-Crow De Mayo

One of the best-remembered and hardest-to-find Warner cartoons, "Two Crows From Tacos" turned up on Dailymotion recently. Good fodder for a Cinco De Mayo weekend blog post, don't you thing?

I haven't seen that cartoon in years and I'd forgotten how laugh out loud funny it is! That line the fat crow yells after first getting hit in the head with the guitar had me on the floor as a kid, and almost today too.

Who voiced these crows? Friz Freling must have saw potential in these guys, since they re-appeared as cats and then again as The Tijuanna Toads. But this cartoon is well written with strong gags and great animation throughout. All three animal teams did the gag with the firecracker in the hand, but the ending to this one was fantastic - "Help, Monwel, HELP!"

I wonder why this cartoon has a special ending?

It's a nice cartoon, but the speedy version (Mexicali shmoes) is much better IMO. The ending let me a bit disappointed.
