;)(Couldn't add that wink above, I know worser isn't a word!)

The fire chief of the city I live in sends out memos like that when his secretary is out! It is quite embarassing to have a city department leader that needs an english refresher class. I still don't understand how the man ever got hired.:shame:

Is anyone else bothered by the latest ad from H & R Block, "You got people" campaign? Why didn't they just take it the whole way and make it "You gots people?"

What's really troubling about ads like that is the Master's degrees (or even PhDs) possessed by many of the account executives who write them. These folks may be able to certify that they actually studied and mastered the English language (much like the two "officials" already spotlighted above), but you'd hardly know it by much of their broadcast work.

If he wrote it in heiroglyphics, would the letter resemble the works of Picasso?

Welllllll I think Intermediate School Dean Michael Levy has just proven that those hypothetical rows of darned chimps seated at keyboards couldn't EVER write any coherent literature (or even real words):p... Since HE obviously can't even write in English (a language he supposedly KNOWS and was educated in...).:p:D:daffy:

Good goin' Mikey!;)

Intermediate Schools aka Junior High Schools in NYC have never been known for having sharp Principals (my old principal in old I.S. 78 would sometimes leave his microphone on after making his morning announcement and broadcast to the whole school that he was watching I Love Lucy on his tv, sometimes we could hear him snoring). What really shocks me is that this Principal does not type on a computer with spell check on, and that he writes his own letters - NYC schools are full of secretaries.
