I know this is kind of a random topic, but I've always found Egghead to be the eeriest Warner Brothers character ever (and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this). I thought his random cameos in Believe It Or Else, in particular, were spooky.

So if you're reading this post, you can either:

a) Reply with what's IYO his creepiest cameo.
b) Call me insane. :shame:

I've never found Egghead to be that eerie or creepy a character. More erratic and unusual more than anything else but not necessarily unnerving. However, if I were to think about this, I guess my choice for his "creepiest" cameo is in "The Isle of Pingo Pongo" because, in this short, he actually performs an act of violence after all his appearances in the film (i.e. he whips out a tommygun and shoots the sun out of the sky!). Not the type of person I'd want to mess with if he has the force and the firearms power to perform that!!!

And, just my 2 cents here... I always felt the Mynah Bird from the Chuck Jones Inki cartoons was the all-time "eeriest" WB character, especially at the end of "Inki and the Mynah Bird" [1943] in which he opens his beak to reveal the lion's enormous teeth in his mouth!!! Brrr...... that's just nuts, Man!!!

Egghead's kinda creepy. But I always thought that the creepiest WB character was the Do-Do.

I never found Egghead creepy but some vintage WB cartoons do bring the creeps.

Egghead's voice is kind of unsettling. The way he speaks in Cinderella Meets Fella, for example, is fascinatingly weird.

As for creepiest appearance, I'd say the Hardaway/Dalton cartoon, Count Me In, because he's so poorly used, and he looks weird, due to the awkward limitations of the directors' visual "style." H&D simply lacked that certain something that Avery brought to all the Egghead cartoons.

There's something creepy about all their cartoons. Just yesterday, I was disturbed by that inexplicable fish-lipped, head-bobbing business in Katnip Kollege. I know it's part of the jitterbug business, but it's downright disturbing in the context of the cartoon.

I hope more Avery Eggheads will appear on future LTGC. Cinderella Meets Fella is a masterpiece, IMO.

Regarding Egghead's strange voice, wasn't his voice meant to be a vocal impersonation of contemporary comedian Joe Penner (If the name doesn't sound familiar, he's the guy who bursts out of nowhere in "Porky's Duck Hunt" just to ask Porky, "Ya wanna buy a duck?")?

I agree that more Egghead cartoons should be on future GC sets. My personal favorite Egghead short is "Daffy Duck and Egghead" (the juxtaposition of the totally insane duck appearing with the by-no-means normal himself Egghead is sheer zaniness at its peak!).

I never found Egghead to be creepy either. But he was an inconsistent and random character.

One of the best instances was in Hamateur Night.

In theory, yes. Egghead's voice was originally supposed to be an impersonation of Joe Penner's. However, the truth is that he was given a different voice in every one of his cartoons. Once again showing how enigmatic the character really was.

Ya CRAAAAAAZY! :D

I must also admit I never found Egghead creepy. I agree with those who found the Mynah bird to be creepy, though - silent, sad, and hopping around rythmically. :befuddled
