Favorite version of The Merry-Go Round Broke Down?

These are all the versions of The Merry-Go Round Broke Down that I can remember:

1937-1938 Version A
1937-1938 Version B (used only in Porky's Double Trouble, Porky's Hero Agency and Porky's Poppa)
1938-1941
The rare 1941 version (used only in Joe Glow, The Firefly).
1941-1945
1945-1946
1946-1955 (my personal favorite)
1955-1964
1962-1967 (with the "Modern" openings)
1967-1969
1968-1969 (only used in, I think, See Ya Later Gladiater and 3 Ring Wing Ding).

So which is IYO the best version?

I like the 1946-55 version best, and the 1945-46 a close second.

When I was little, I used to always wonder why Bugs got a drum ending (in addition to Porky), but never Daffy.

The 1946-1955 version sounds like the band's REALLY into it...a lot more OOMPH....

IIRC Bugs only had one drum ending (Hare tonic), and that makes sense after the "everything went dark" gag.

Btw. I like the 46-55 version at best, it's the traditional version. The same goes for the MM theme song.

Actually, the Bugs In Drum ending was also used in Baseball Bugs. The ending for Acrobatty Bunny was probably the ONLY cartoon where the 1945-1946 opening music and 1941-1946 closing music were used with no accompanying drum ending.

My favorite version is the 1937-38(Version B) LT Music because I think it sounds so unique. Also I love the 1955-64 LT Music because it sounds so cool in my opinion.

Hey, my favourite version of "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" was the 1937-38 theme. I liked that one a lot! It was very unique and very loud. Especially the "WOOO" sound effect when the shield came up.

Hands down the 1946-55 opening. That is some of the catchiest and most enchanting theme music I've ever heard in my life. In fact, I sometimes prefer the Looney Tunes series to the Merrie Melodies series simply because "Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" was always a much better theme song.

Again, I don't care much for the 1955-64 opening/closing music. A lot of the life has been sucked out of it by being "replayed" with a different orchestra and it's not nearly as interesting or enticing (but, again, that has no effect on the quality of the film which follows).
