Hello, gang! It's so good to be able to post here!
Well, actually, some of the other members here (i.e. Thad, Jon, etc.) may already know me... I'm none other than Matt Yorston who posted at the old TTTP until about a year ago and now it's sooooo great to be back!
A little bit more about myself.... I love cartoons (obviously), I am Canadian, and my favorite TV shows include "The Simpsons" and "Night Court". My favorite cartoon directors are Chuck Jones, Frank Tashlin, Tex Avery, and Jack Kinney. My favorite cartoons include "The Dover Boys", "Dig That Dog", "Hockey Homicide", "Often an Orphan", "A Wild Hare", and many, MANY others.
Anyway, now you know who I am. I'll continue to post here within the coming few days....
As my sig states, I used to be "jeff_schiller" on the TZ TTTP, but since it was a new signup list, I figured I could easily shorten it.
Regards,
Jeff

I think it's pretty obvious which handle I used in the old forums.
(hint: see sig)
"howie" is the name of that cat in my avatar picture, by-the-way..

No change here, still just li'l ol' me, but I thought I'd butt in and ask what the deal is with those description lines, or whatever they're called, that show up under your user name on postings. Seems like they currently default to "Junior Member" (and I presume advance, as you blab more and more, on to "Senior" and then maybe "Post-Graduate" a la the typical vBulletin protocol). At present, it appears that only the Moderators have the ability to insert humorous designations of their own devising. I searched through the various Control Panel settings, but didn't find any that seemed to apply.
Can the rest of us get in on the jolly good fun, eh, chaps? Thanks awfully.

Oh yeah I'm still using my 'Rex Racer' moniker, though many of you know my name is Del. It's nice to see the new GAC site using the same forums arrangement we have recently moved over to at DVDToons.com. Jon , Thad, Matthew and all the rest, once again, very nicely done!
"Well whaddya know, the little green light it stays on! (if you're logged in and browsing!!!!:p )

If I remember correctly, you have to graduate up from Junior Member before you're able to create your own designation. Just be patient and participate in discussions :P

Hey Matt! Nice to see another fellow Canadian animation aficionado back here! (I'm not forgetting you guys, Tony, Paul, Oliver, and Martin). ;)
I'm Larry T at the old board and Larry T at this new board.... my name really is Larry, by the way, I'm "the youngest of the three Jerks- er, brothers".
I'll leave whatever other connotations you've all associated with my name as they remain :p .

wundermild (formerly known as wundermild) has found his way to GAC also. Congrats to the mods for the new domain and board.

Oh, and congratulations for the 100th member ;)
Y'arrrr, I be Mekairinek, long-time lurker at the TTTP from Toon Zone. :D
Since many people have misspelled my name (can't say I blame 'em... eh-heh), I figured I'd go with a shortened nickname. :) But y'all can call me Katie, if you want. ;)
As for why I joined GAC, it's simple: as a fan of all type of animation, I want to learn more about classic cartoons. :) Plus I've been watching all the old Looney Tunes and H-B stuff on 'Boomerang' alot these days, so that's piqued my interest in the subject. ^^

I'm not saying who my original idenity was for a simple reason: I'm actually Deepthroat, and want my idenity to remian a secret.
But, if you're curious at all, my original idenity was Matthew Perry.
But people know me as Brandon Pierce.
I'll be there for you.....

Same name, same Do-Do. Different avatar, though. Anyway, I like this place so far from what I've seen. This place has come a long way from the BeSeen days!

Hi, my name's Erik Zmajkovic. I just registered here as ErikWBFan, although some of you may know me as Viper from the TZ forums.:) Anyway, I'm very excited to be part of this new group of forums. Mainly because I enjoy classic WB cartoons, as well as others.
Well, that's about it. Once more, it's great to be here and I'll see what I can respond to soon.:D :bugs1:

08-13-2004, 07:10 PM
Hey, I finally got on! Many thanks, Jon! I decided to drop my old handle "Davesnothere". I go by Dave, but I don't like the way "Dave Gates" looks written out, so I went with my formal name.

08-13-2004, 10:31 PM
The only thing that has changed about me on this forum are my avatar (still haven't figured out how to make a transparent GIF using only Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0), my custom title, and my sig. Other than that, I'm still the same Peter Network. :D
Emmanuel Cruz
08-14-2004, 01:30 AM
I wanted to add my middle initial to my GAC ID name, but it didn't fit. I wanted to keep my real name on the GAC boards. I decided to add my moniker "The Hooligan" under my name. And I still have the same signature and profile from TZ boards.

Hey,
I guess I missed the apparent controversy I unintentionally started in this thread over the weekend, but to whomever was offended by my posting... I just want to clarify that it was obviously made in good humor and that I meant no provocation or offense. That's just my playful tongue-in-cheek sarcasm. I'm such a funny guy.
Anyways, just wanted to remind folks not to take this interweb stuff too seriously... we're all respectful here.
:)
Too bad I missed the replies!

Well, I am still and have the same user name as I did at TTTP, but my avatar is slightly different, now currently showing a photo image of a New York City subway train, a vintage-1948 R-10 type model on the IND "A" 8th Avenue Express route. I am first and foremost an avid NYC subway/bus/mass transit hobbyist. The term "Resident Researcher" is simply a sort-of nickname term given to me by one of the security guards at Pace University (my alma mater) when I usually go there to use their computer facilities or library.

It's just me Nelson, but some members still call me by my original screen name, as the one only...."MOE HARE".
Cdawg
08-20-2004, 05:33 PM
I was Cdawg on the Toonzone board, & I'm still Cdawg. My name really is Charlie, & I like Charlie Dog - so shorten it & add a little hip-hop: Cdawg (kind of like J-lo). But something new has been added - thanks to frogboxer! An appropriate avatar!

Well, I'm new to the whole shebang, so I thought I'd say hi anyway. I grew up with "Bugs Bunny and Friends" during the week and "The Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show" on Saturdays, and I guess they kinda made an impression, because here I am. Also a big fan of "The Flintstones" (and I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival on Teletoon next month.)
