Remember the cartoon of the wolf who was very forgetful? His wife tried to send him out hunting and he couldn't remember what animal he was supposed to catch? The moon rises over him saying to himself "possum? no, no, squirrel? no, no, oranutang? no no.......

Can anyone tell me anything more about this that would help me search for it? :befuddled

It was a Bugs Bunny cartoon if that helps, one of his last I'm almost pretty sure. www.bcdb.com should help.

It was "Hare-less Wolf". The name of the wolf is Charles m. Wolf.
This is one of my favorite Bugs Bunny cartoons!

After I checked my copy of "Joe Adamson's Bugs Bunny: Fifty Years and only One Grey Hare", "Hare-less Wolf" is a 1958 cartoon directed by Friz Freleng.

Freleng had used the same forgetful wolf character in "Red Riding Hoodwinked" with :tweety: & :sylvester.

Gonna have to disagree, both wolves are very similar (same voice & mannerisms) but they are two clearly different designed characters.

Different design, but with the same basic concept. The difference was in the first cartoon Freleng and Foster didn't see the gag all the way through, and the wolf's forgetfulness was bascially abandoned in the latter half of the cartoon to focus on the chases for Tweety and Red.
