I'm still waiting for the poll to end all polls!;)

Y' know, Cartman just might have something there! :tweety: Your turn.

Oh, C'Mon Geezil. This is just getting ridiculous (Why would a CLASSIC ANIMATION board, where excessive polls are plentiful as it is, need a polll that has absolutely nothing to do with Classic Animation?)

As a collector and enthusiast of the completist brand, I'm less fond of polls. I'm more for the "Don't take my word for it!" mentality.:flip:

OK, I admit this one's way over the top. But my point, twisted though it may appear, is that if I allowed myself to vote in this poll, I'd be squarely in favor of an end to polls. (For 2007, at least.)

Gosh, I was gonna vote, but I can't tell if the poll has ended already?

Well, I'm not exactly against polls, I'm against the polls flooding that the board is subject to frequently, so here's my proposal: a limit of one poll a month for each member... :D

lol

Anyway, I see that so far, there are at least 15 other GACers taking this thread in the intended spirit. Here's a shout-out to all of you. :D

That's one of the most intelligent posts I've read on GAC from a long time and I'm not saying this only because mmm...donuts is my friend!

There are really too many "Hit or Miss" posts (also many about horrible cartoons, like the Sixties Speedy ones:eek: ) and polls in here.......:p

So, is mmm...donut's idea a hit or a miss? Gimme a few minutes, I'm preparing a poll.....:D

I really don't think limited polls is necessary (unless things start to get REALLY out of hand). Things like "Hit or Miss", "OT", and Polls usually come in spurts and things eventually even out again.

In the meantime, you can always just not open the posts that have "Hit of Miss" or "Poll:" in the subject line. :tweety:

Oh. I did not want to sound critic. If you read the second half of my post it is obvious that I was making a gag:) , even if the first part was a bit serious.:p

Not opening the "Hit or Miss" and "Poll" posts is actually the solution that I've found from a very long time!:D

DD, I don't mind the occasional poll; I can learn things from some of the "whys" raised in them (eg. "name your favourite McKimson unit animator"). But I think the volume and unoriginality gets to people. It doesn't take much imagination to name a bunch of cartoons or characters and put up a poll, and there are probably more interesting things people would rather read. However, to each his own.

I took a poll at the poll's yesterday and the pollees all polled in favor of my poll.

Now does your head hurt?

I'm thinking... and my head hurts!-:ysam:

Um, I rarely vote in the polls.

People have a right to do 'em. They're just not too interesting to me.
I like posts where I learn something new or get some new kind of perspective on a subject.
