Being a huge Road Runner fan, I went with Road Runner & Friends, although, in retrospect, I still feel that this (and the Sylvester & Tweety disc) was a mistake. They should have spaced out the Road Runner (and S&T) cartoons on as many volumes as possible instead of lumping most of them onto one disc. This is just my opinion, of course, although, if they had spaced out both series as I would have preferred, it would have been more satisfying for me in the end.

I voted for the Road Runner disc, even though it should have included some Rudy larriva Road Runner cartoons, at least one Bugs and Wile E. cartoon, and at least one Ralph Wolf cartoon. Maybe also Rabbit Stew and Rabbits Too.

I went with the Tweety & Friends disc simply because it had some great Bob Clampett cartoons like KITTY KORNERED, BABY BOTTLENECK, and PORKY IN WACKYLAND. It also featured the exceptionally animated OLD GLORY, directed by Chuck Jones.

You're welcome to your opinion, of course, but I strongly beg to differ on the inclusion of the Larriva Road Runners. I personally feel that they are a desecration to Jones' original masterpieces and the mixing of Jones/Larriva shorts would only cheapen the originals and make the Larriva shorts seem all the more inferior by comparison. I've always felt Larriva should have just left the series alone. Just my two cents, of course.

I do agree with the Bugs/Wile E. shorts and the Ralph Wolf short, though. However, we've since gotten two Bugs/Wile E. shorts on GC 4 ("Operation Rabbit" and "To Hare Is Human") and two Ralph Wolf shorts ("Don't Give Up the Sheep" and "Steal Wool") on GC 1 and 3 respectively. Hopefully the others aren't far behind. ;)

I know that cartoons from those series have been included, but at the time of the second volume none of Wile E. Coyotie's pairings with Bugs were available on DVD. Since the disc was titled Road Runner and Friends, I think that a Ralph Wolf cartoon should have been included, since he looks like Wile E. As I said earlier, I think Rabbits Stew and Rabbits Too should have been included, since that cartoon is similar to the Road Runner series. Of course, I think the people who worked on the set wanted that disc to have some of Chuck Jones' cartoons with characters who aren't as well-known (though that disc could have also used a Pepe le Pew cartoon).

The Tweety & Sylvester disc, because I just can't get enough of them.
