There's another short with Pink Phanter talking, is "Sink Pink" (1965). The 5th cartoon of Pink Panther series.:thinkpink

Yes. The Pink Panther has one line at the end of "Sink Pink". The cartoon involves a big-game hunter hunting the Panther for his fur coat. The Panther outwits the hunter with the help of a water-spraying elephant, then closes the cartoon with his line, "Why can't man be more like animals?"

Outside of "Sink Pink", "Pink Ice" is the only other cartoon in which the Pink Panther has dialogue... and extensive dialogue for that matter. His voice was supplied by comedian Rich Little. It apparently was an experiment early on in the series that obviously failed. Still, both cartoons are interesting to watch just to hear how the original Pink Panther actually sounded with a voice. However, I still prefer my panther as a pantomime character.

oddly enough I always pictured Pink Panther with a deep voice:confused:

Because my memory isnt that fresh what was the name short lived Pink Panther show that was Braodcasted (I think on Kids WB) back in the mid to late 90's?

It was simply called "The Pink Panther" and was run in syndication. Some of the new shorts were kind of funny but the concept for the show was... well, wrong. There was no need to give the Pink Panther (or any of his co-stars such as the little man) a voice; he still would've been good silent. The shorts tended to stretch to 11 minutes too so some of the shorts just seemed to crawl on to reach the 11-minute mark as a result. It was yet another failed attempt to imitate the classics.

You mean this? (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108895/)

The was the syndicated TV series MGM produced around '93 that gave Pink a hip, contemporary voice by Matt Frewer. I didn't much care for it personally (having been scarred by the previous incarnation, "Pink Panther & Sons" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Panther_and_Sons)).

Yeah, but that was also used in the 1970s...for a while the NBC Saturday morning "Pink Panther" show was called "The THINK PINK Panther Show."

I miss those Saturday morning Panther shows and their interstitials.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I did actually watch the "New" Pink Panther series when it aired back in '93/'94. It basically tried to update The Pink Panther with a very early-90's "coolness." Even some of the episode titles were lame plays on popular sayings/wording at the time. For example, one episode was called "The Inspector. Not!" I am not making this up.

I believe you, I remember that episode. Even when it first aired, I saw it and thought, "Is that the best they could come up with for a title?!" And, of course, hardly anyone uses the expression, "Not!", anymore (except maybe Wayne and Garth:D :p ;) ). And, not only that, wasn't it always a tacit rule that the Pink Panther cartoons always had to have the work "pink" in the title somewhere? So much for that!
