Here's a funny parody of those cheaply-produced Saturday Morning shows seen through out the 1970s and 1980s.

LOL. The way Cheap-O cartoon man was running through that "long hallway" was hilarious.

I think we all needed that. This was what catoons of my childhood all had to be like. If it wasn't just that, they'd mix it up with sticking a celebrity into a role or do a spin-off of some live-action show like "Fonz and the Happy Days Gang".

Speaking of which, some of the TV Funhouse shorts that were aired on SNL have finally got released on DVD a few weeks back, though it's basically the TV special that was aired back in May, albeit, a little longer as I think they left the shorts uncut this time, and some extra material like commentary tracks. I really love those for emulating that period when TV animation was in the toilet.

That was pretty funny, but what was End of Part One?

Judging by what little infomation I could dig up, it was some comedy program produced by LWT (London Weekend Television, a former ITV channel serving London on the weekends, as Thames had the rest of the week), between 1979 and 1980. Here's one page (http://www.screenonline.org.uk/tv/id/1194539/index.html) that details much of the show's short two seasons on the air. Would be neat to see what a typical episode was like.

The fact though they were able to pull off such a clever joke about the state of American TV animation of the time just impresses me (as opposed to the way we can joke about it 20 years later).
