According to Wikipedia.org, the entry of this Frank Tashlin-directed Merrie Melodies cartoon lists Dave Monahan as being credited with the story and A.C. Gamer with animation. Dave Mackey's site does not have these confirmed, yet.

I wrote it. I apologize for not sourcing it; the source was Jerry and Will's Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies book.

Sorry Sean - hope I didn't offend you, I was just commenting on wikipedia which I have found to be a source of much misinformation without citations. Jerry & Will's book is an excellent source, my favorite.
