I heard several years ago(maybe from you David?), that a longer verison of the 1930 Silly Symphonies cartoon "Cannibal Capers" survives. The print that some of us members may have, runs a little over five minutes.Really curious and maybe the full length verison will be on the next volume of SS.

The original version is still a short cartoon; only about twenty seconds longer. After the lion gets bitten in the butt with his own teeth (the moment where the commonly seen print fades out), he runs helter-skelter through the cannibal village and away over the horizon. The other cannibals emerge from hiding and cheer.
I've seen a silent copy of the complete ending. I'm not sure which version Disney currently has on hand.

It's kind of like the lost ending to PIONEER DAYS, which has been missing from various prints.:mickey::minnie:

I believe Disney has restored the ending to the version that will be on the forthcoming DVD. In fact you, David, provide an excellent audio track commentary with Leonard Maltin, and point out the additional footage! I can't wait for this this excellent DVD set to hit the market.
