Well, being that Gabby Goat is among the most forgotten WB characters ever (due to his rather unlikable personality), I guess it's time to see which cartoon of his actually stood out beyond his character.

My favorite Gabby Goat cartoon is Porky's Badtime Story because it's so hilarous seeing Gabby get hit on the head with a pillow and when it's starts dripping he opens up an umbrella and say's "I might as sleep under Niagra falls" after Porky's tells him opening an umbrella in the house is bad luck. Then just by conicdent to what Gabby Goat said a big waterfall falls on Porky and Gabby's head. Who could forget that?

They are all equally lackluster.

"Get Rich Quick, Porky." I've always felt that as a redrawn (which is the only way I remember ever seeing it) (heavy sigh), it's so over-the-top bad that there's no alternative but to love it in spite of itself. :ham:

Porky's Badtime Story.

It was actually better than the remake, Tick-Tock Tuckered, which featured Daffy in one of his earliest grouch roles. Porky's Badtime Story had a much sharper sense of timing, such as when Porky and Gabby reacts to their boss creeping up behind them.
Also, comparing the bits where they get rained on in bed, Gabby's line "Everything always happens to me..." is funnier than Daffy's "Egad, I must have enemies...".

Compared to the other two cartoons, Porky's Badtime Story was the only time the short-lived pairing of Porky and Gabby was successfully pulled off. And not a bad start for Bob Clampett's directoral debut. ;)
