Here's a news about an upcoming HD DVD release, that contains three LT shorts. I wonder how will they look in high-definition...

To tell you the truth I don't think they will be any better than what we have on DVD. These crtoons were definatly not made with HD-TV in mind, so there is no way it can enhance the picture any more. Unless someone can tell me otherwise.

Probably the mistakes will show up more clearly, such as cel glares, scratches, etc.

Since these cartoons were shot on film, they can re-telecine the negatives to HD master.
I second that it'll just make it easier to see cel dusts.

Actual 35mm film prints would be higher resolution than HD.

I suspect the quality will change more if you have a very large screen. If you have a standard size TV (whatever that is now, 35" and less?), I don't think there will be too much difference.
