The 1939 Looney Tune cartoon, "The Film Fan" with Porky Pig, will be included among the bonus material on Warner Home Video's DVD release of the movie Gunga Din (1939) on December 7, 2004. :ham:

Sounds great! :ham:

Hopefully, it will have the correct opening music intact.

Hopefully, it will have the correct opening music intact.
And hopefully they won't be using that dumb CN version that chops off the iris out.

While it's nice that another black and white LT is getting exposure, its too bad that Warner's couldn't finagle some way of getting a RKO/Disney cartoon from 1939 so as to have a historically correct package.

Great news!

However, I wondering whether if it will be restored or not. All of the other DVD's with cartoons as extras ("Bacall to Arms" on "To Have & Have Not"; "Yankee Doodle Bugs" on "Yankee Doodle Dandy", "Robin Hood Daffy" & "Rabbit Hood" on "Adv. of Robin Hood", etc.) utilized old prints. But who knows, maybe it was restored for the next Golden Collection. Guess we'll have to wait until it's released. I'll be getting this DVD anyway, as Gunga Din is an excellent film.

Either way, I'm happy. :)
