Disney seems to have had a few... Milt Schaffer is the on-screen credited director for "Pluto's Party" using the Charles Nichols unit, with Nichols credited as an animator. "Crazy With the Heat" was apparently directed by Bob Carlson using Jack King's unit, and "Pluto's Playmate" seems to have been the only cartoon short directed by Norm Ferguson. Any explanations for any of these?

Strangest of all, according to the Encyclopedia of Disney Shorts, a 1937 cartoon called "Mickey's Amateurs" was directed by Pinto Colvig, Ed Penner and Walt Pfieffer. What's up with that?

"Pettin' In The Park" directed by Bernard Brown springs to mind as another one-shot. Of course, that's LT rather than Disney...Craig D.

I believe Ken Harris directed one cartoon at Warners - the cheater picture "Hare-abian Nights" - then went right back to animating.
