Which is why this whole copyright thing is ridiculous. YouTube makes a big show of removing copyrighted material at the request of the copyright holder, but they're not doing anything to make sure that the copyrighted material doesn't reappear.
Either YouTube is going to have to do that, or copyright holders are going to have to give up and seek an alternate solution. Otherwise, the whole thing is just a sham.

Would you rather youtube just never have such gems like that at all? I think they got a good thing goin over at youtube. They take down whatever they're told to take down. Otherwise, whatever is uploaded stays there. What some lawyer who realistically cares nothing about cartoons doesn't know, doesn't hurt him and we all get to watch it there since we can't watch it on TV.

If you want to know exactly the wrongs and rights regarding YouTube, read this (http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html). It should clear up most issues involving Copyright Laws.

Maybe the copyright holders should get off their asses and release this stuff on DVD. That way they can spend their time raking in the $$$$ instead of running around like idiots trying to keep this stuff off Youtube and Ebay.

Ya know it's been bandied back and forth here for several years as to whether Warners actually does have somebody checking our board for leads on things (like this cartoon) and then setting some course of action (legal etc.).
It would make a fascinating experiment to deliberately mention on here when there is a cartoon infringing and then see how many days (or hours) from the moment of the post for there to be SOME sort of action...!!!:) We just MIGHT be able to resolve once and for all whether Warners really is checking things out around here.

This morning I've ripped this cartoon from a super8 print that I have. I hope you like this amatorial conversion:

Folks, do you remember my superior copy of this and of others of the "Censored Eleven" ?
Well, I was lucky enough to obtain even better looking copies! I'll update pictures from them on my blog in the earliest day of September, when I'll be back in town.
