Can one of GAC's resident early sound historians give me a quick lesson on what's been posted here at CartoonBrew this morning:

I've never heard of any Rufus films before but I've gotta say that from the title card posted, that's got to be one of the most unappealing designs I've ever seen in classic animation..

I'm very interested to hear more about the background of this character and his creator.

Thanks.

Man, you did not get the joke. It is just a gag!

As you can see this "restored old cartoons" show the character with a red nose! So, how could that be a b/w cartoon?;)

They never said it was a black & white cartoon!

Oh, they don't say it?

They do not have to say it, if you can easily see it by yourself!

Have you seen the title card posted there and followed the links??;)

I now watched some of the cartoon on the rufus.tv site and it actually is black & white. :o

EDIT: If this cartoon is really fake, why is it in the IMDB? http://imdb.com/title/tt0817952/

...And the mention of the finding of "Elmo Aardvark" is a dead-giveaway!! Elmo was one of those "bright-ideas" for a practical joke a few years back.

As much as I like a good joke, I decided to submit a correction to that film in IMDB...
