As if there isn't enough pirate crap in the DVD market. I think I accidentally bought either a pirate copy or a foreign copy of Toy Story on DVD. According to the back of the DVD box, Buzz Lightyear is some kind of "space range." There are several other odd mispellings on the back of the DVD box.

It's to be expected of the finest in bootlegs! :D

My favorite part: "Presented in full screen format - exactly as it was shown on television!"

I think all of them say that! But yeah, it's a silly line thing to say like that.

Nitpicking here;) but once again THIS item is a PIRATE not a bootleg... Classically a bootleg has been defined as an unauthorized release of UNRELEASED material... Example, a copy of a REAL CD is a pirate version... Ifffff somebody finds unreleased material by an artist and sneaks it out then it's a bootleg...

In cartoonland it's harder since ALMOST all theatrical cartoons were indeed released... Buuuuut some of course have been suppressed by their owners and NEVER had a videotape, Laserdisc, or DVD release preferring to let them rot in the vault... Copies of THOSE cartoons would be bootlegs. (Still not legal though, UNLESS they were never copyrighted or it expired)

24 dvds??????

This sort of reminds me of the fake CD compilation albums Colin & Ryan would sell on Whose Line Is It Anyway? "Over 500 songs on over 5000 CD's". They were of course joking. This person, unfortunately, is not. But it's so stupid an ad, he/she might as well be. :p

"2000 songs on one CD! But it's a big one! And it's made outta chocolate!...I had a little something to drink earlier."

Sorry, had to throw that out there.

Tim, maybe you missed the fact that this is 24 DVDs "chronological order from the pilot to the finale". I assume that means they've included "ALL" of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies in chronological order. I think a price of $209.99 justifies my assumption.

By your definition, I would call this a bootleg... If it was just the 3 GCs, it would only be 12 DVDs...

No Jeff I didn't miss the 24 DVD aspect of the set... But the very fact of a big chunk of it apparently being ripped-off from the GCs (and it looks like even the cover-art) definitely throws it into the pirate category...

Makes ya wonder though WHAT their SOURCE was for all the rest??!?! Pre-recorded videotapes? Tapes from broadcast or cable? (I doubt 16mm or 35mm prints though;)).

(And it's NOT my definition, it came from books on record bootlegs:)).

Nice set.

So let me get this straight. We've got every WB cartoon from BOSKO THE TALK-INK KID to INJUN TROUBLE?:bosko::coolcat:

Sounds like a wonderful set to have and only $209.99! Everythng is just as it appeared on TV. Wow! So are the b&w cartoons redrawn or computer colorized? Maybe they have versions of both.:p
