OT: UK commercial featuring Cab Calloway

This is a rather interesting curio you guys might like to see.

Here in the UK, there was a wonderful early-90's animated commercial for Hula Hoops, a popular tubed potato snack. It featured a hula dancer happily doing her thing with the hula hoop until a bandicoot arrives to steal and eat it. But what made this a fantastic commercial was the infectious in-vision performance of Cab Calloway singing this tale (I didn't know it was him at the time, but his performance was the main reason why I always liked watching this advert). Having been re-acquained with this commercial on the TV-Ark website (www.tv-ark.org.uk (http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/)) very recently, it does remind me of the Betty Boop shorts featuring the very guy himself. :betty: :D

I remember seeing a bunch of ads like this before, but I found this one quite amusing in it's execution, such an interesting snack too (don't see an equivilent like this around here).

One thing about a good ad is when you find it hard not to keep watching it over and over, as I had just did with this one! Something about the animation of the bandicoot (yeah, he looks more dog-like otherwise, of course I almost didn't think those two characters on both sides of the girl were turtles until I noticed they had shells on their backs) I just couldn't get off my mind the first time around, and had to keep admiring a few places in it, especially the Calloway-esque strut he does. Especially in the last shot and he's doing a little thing with moving his finger on the top of the "Eat, Don't Hula!" letters as if he's running through keys on a piano. It's little touches that stands out for me.
