If you haven't seen it before, go to YouTube and view JITTERBUG FOLLIES, the Milt Gross produced/designed/inspired MGM cartoon. Boy, is that different from what came before it and what came after it. Too bad Gross didn't hang around a tad longer.

You can enjoy this cartoon (plus Clampett's THE DAFFY DOC) in much higher quality on the DVD reissue of ROOM SERVICE/AT THE CIRCUS by the Marx Brothers.

JITTERBUG FOLLIES is an excellent cartoon - the two penguins are a riot!! WANTED: NO MASTER is just as funny with some great Mel Blanc voicework!!

I too thought it was a riot (and I didn't know MGM made cartoons that was in black and white). I especially loved the animation of the penguins being thrown out.
Too bad not many "Count Screwloose" cartoons were made.
BTW, anyone has samples of the original "Screwloose" comic-strip?

Yes indeed, the two "Count Screwloose" cartoons plus all (but two) of the "Captain And The Kids" cartoons were made in black and white (the Captain toons were then sepia-toned).
