I was thumbing though my Bill Hanna bio and in the title & credits section, I was reminded of Droopy, Master Detective with Screwball Squirrel segments from 1993.
I never witnessed this show, has anyone else?
My questions are these, did the Screwball Squirrel cartoons stay true to the Tex Avery creations? Was the Droopy cartoons made by the same people who did the Droopy & Dribble cartoons from Tom & Jerry Kids? They were funny, little gag-filled cartoons.

Gosh! It's been ages since I last saw that show! Well, they did indeed include Droopy and Dripple, where they became detectives, solving any crimes or mysteries that are reported to them. Also to star are a few of their "regulars" from T&J Kids. McWolf mostly appears as a villian and Miss VaVoom appears as the usual "Damsel in Distress"

Screwball Squirrel also appeared as a "In-Between" slot, although he was redesigned to have a Napoleon Hat and a Red T-Shirt and was voiced by Charles Adler. He lived in a public park where he often drove Swedish Park Attendant Dweeble and his Large, Dopey Dog Grappley up the wall!
And that's all I can remember, bub! :droopy:

"Screwball" Squirrel's name is SCREWY Squirrel. "Screwball" in the film title "Screwball Squirrel" is an adjective, not his name.

actually I believe both are in use. I even believe there to be a third version of his name.
In a Tex Avery comic book I have, there is a contest to guess his third name. The first two are "Screwball" and "Screwy."
In my Bill Hanna bio, it's written as Screwball Squirrel.

The third one is really more of a variant: Skrewy the Screwball Squirrel (or simply Skrewy), as given in the older comics. A really strange alteration, frankly.

It isn't very well done. The episodes are very boring. I liked this thing once, but not anymore. Screwball segments don't have any wackiness.
