Here's an interesting article....

At least Taz's popularity is being put to better use then to adorn truck flaps and air freshners.
Not bad for a character who only appeared in 5 classic cartoons. Oh yeah, and his own television series.

I thought Yosemite Sam was adorned on truck mudflaps. Taz, I've seen on clothing and those spare tire cozies.
And would it kill someone to make a Bosko shirt that says, "Old School" on it, to let Looney Tunes fans know that he was here first, or would that be too blashpemous?

Question is: will we also be seeing Coca Cola pouring money into researching the recent phenomenon of Cannibal Polar Bears?
Just Kidding! :D
This is strange news ,though

Notice that the copyright on the article is a company called aap.
It's nice that WB is doing this. They really don't have to; they're an entertainment company.

I'm kinda glad to see some resolution to this issue, even though the actual problem itself is still there with the animals. I remember reading about it when the government was first trying to get Warner Bros. on board. It's nice to know they're now trying to do what they can.

I never understood why Taz become a Looney Tunes mascot. It's a very annoying and mediocre character.

Don't feel bad...if it wasn't for Jack Warner himself, there would have been only one Tasmanian Devil cartoon. Y'see, Eddie Selzer didn't like the character, and ordered him shelved after his debut and it wasn't until Warner enquired about him that more cartoons were made.

Kind of ironic that this happened to a Bob McKimson character, isn't it?

Yeah, but without mentioning him like "Jones' Michigan Frog" or "Jones' Marvin". It's simply Taz. Directed by... well, probably Jones.:shame:
