Following the release of the cover art (http://forums.goldenagecartoons.com/showthread.php?t=60) for the Wave 4 "Walt Disney Treasures" DVD sets (due out December 7th), Disney officially announced (http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?r=0&s=1&c=4570&n=1&burl) the sets today, and along with it announced some of the bonus features:
Available from the 7th December this year will be Mickey Mouse in Black and White Volume Two, The Complete Pluto Volume One and The Mickey Mouse Club Week One. Each of these rare marvels are fully restored, and hosted by noted film historian Leonard Maltin. The Mickey Mouse in Black and White disc will include a featurette on ‘Mickey’s Portrait Artist’ and Disney legend, John Hench, rare Mickey collectibles and artifacts, and much more. Complete Pluto on the other hand will include “The Story of Dogs” featurette, a selection of Pluto character designs and production art. Finally, The Mickey Mouse Club set will feature a retrospective with film historian Leonard Maltin and the original Mousketeers, merchandising and publicity materials, and more.Over at UltimateDisney.com, there is a set of stills (http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4764) from Disney publicizing the three new DVD sets, "The Complete Pluto," "Mickey Mouse in Black and White Volume II," and "The Mickey Mouse Club". UPDATE: UltimateDisney.com now has a complete press release (http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4779) online. This confirms that the "Complete Pluto" set will be a "Volume 1," with its shorts coming from 1930 to 1947.
