Starting in early 1938, Walter Lantz is no longer credited as his cartoons' director. Many of these cartoons are directed by Alex Lovy, who would go on to direct a number of Lantz cartoons. Staff animators like Les Kline and Rudy Zamora also receive director credits.

Then there is Patrick Lenihan (one credit) and Elmer Perkins (four credits). Who the heck are these fellas? Where'd they come from and where'd they go after they left Lantz?

Had they been laboring along for a studio like Disney, Iwerks, Harman-Ising or Mintz that gave no screen credits, or are these false names to hide moonlighting personnel from other studios?

Anyone have any ideas?
