Our dear friend, Jerry Beck has written a very strong letter to Comcast, about the recent aqusition of the Sony purchasing United Artists, that I think that everyone will want to read...Just go to the brew to read this excellent letter to Comcast.

This letter is well written and Jerry is looking out for the classic cartoon fans, when it comes to the huge library of classic theatrical cartoon shorts, between Sony and UA.It appears that Comcast want's to start new cable channels just from this merger and an idea of an all classic cartoon channel aimed at adults, of the Columbia Pictures, (Krazy Kat, Scrappy, Fox And Crow, Mr.Magoo) cartoons and the DePatie Freleng (Pink Panther, The Inspector, Ant And The Aardvark,) shorts, would seem like the perfect way to start an all new cartoon channel.

Anyone for Krazy Kat and Pink Panther?

I moved this thread to "GAC News and Reviews"

This certainly does sound interesting - I hope Mr. Beck gets a positive response soon!

I liked the letter Jerry wrote. Hopefully, Jerry's recognition in the animation world could influence Sony/MGM/Comcast to do such. Man, you know how great this station would be? And if these companies get permission to show WB or Disney cartoons, it would be an absolute blessing.:)

And You Go, Jerry!!!!!!! :D

Geezil, we ARE few, but let's not forget that some of us do root for the 5 and Dime studio of animation.
Long live grouchy farmers!
