I have a question, in my copy of Fish Tales, you hear the title music, then it irises in, it sounds like there is a jump between the song and porky's whistling,
it doesnt look like there is any splices in it, any idea about whats behind this, and I am watching the original copy (well, there is a different version of theme music played, but I don't that it will interfere with the sound that late)!

When the cartoon was remastered for computer colorization in the early 1990s, the opening LT theme on the print had been clipped off, one of a number of B&W LTs that had their opening music clipped along with the WB shield when Warners sold the cartoons to Sunset Productions back in the 1950s. When they restored it, they froze what was left of the WB opening title (no zooming shield) and whoever was doing the audio simply borrowed the opening music from 1937s "Rover's Rival" to put in its place.
The 1968 hand-colorized version of "Fish Tales" contains the correct opening music, albeit with the LT theme clipped at the opening.

Do you have a sound file of the original intro (up until porky whistling)?
