I've seen Daffy Duck and Egghead on Boomerang in the UK a few times lately.

I them middle of the cartoon Daffy sings "my name is Daffy Duck" to the tune of "The Merry-go-round Broke down" was this before it was used as the Loony Tunes theme tune.

Daffy Duck & Egghead was released a few months before it became the theme. :daffy:

Actually, it was released a few months AFTER it became the theme. It became the theme in late 1937 with Rover's Rival. Daffy Duck and Egghead came out in early 1938.
