Mickey and Goofy's short-lived sitcom Hello Mickey made it's debut on Sept. 29, 1972 to poor reviews and almost no audience. "CBS didn't do enough to market the show. They gave us an impossible time slot. It was an election year. Really, many many factors lead to it's early cancellation. It certainly wasn't MY fault I can tell you," Mickey had said in an interview soon after the shows cancellation. "Naw, it was just terrible," said Goofy. "In fact, the script was so bad, I'd often throw it out and improvise my own stuff. H'Yuck, [producer] Bernie Salzberg didn't like that."

After two episodes, CBS quickly replaced it with a little "based-on-a-movie" cheap pilot called M*A*S*H. To this day, Mickey still calls Alan Alda on the phone just to blow an airhorn into the phone and then swear at him.
