Checking for 16mm cartoons on a regular basis, I thought the exact same thing when I saw that auction!

OK, so now we know of at least four Terrytoons guaranteed "special introductions" on commercial DVD ... ! Thanks a lot, eBay. :rolleyes:

I think that cowboy character was based on the melodramatic 'hero' type from the silent movie horse-opera age (also seen in "Those Were Wonderful Days" (WB), "She Wronged Him Right" (Fleischer), and a few more I can't think of at the moment.

Strange question is why Terrytoons would revive that theme again in 1952...?

Has anybody seen that cartoon, "The Mysterious Cowboy"?
