Okay gang, lets go to the GAC slapstick comedy news......
On Tuesday(and a reminder)that Sony releases the Buster Keaton 65th anniversary dvd collection, that will contain all of the Columbia shorts that Keaton made during his brief stint at Columbia
March 19.Turner Classic Movies will present at Charley Chase marathon that begins at 12:15am(EST) with six shorts, including a couple that has not aired on TCM.
And on April 20th, MOMA(Museum Of Modern Art) in Manhattan, will present a two month long tribute to Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle.The definative festival will cover the entire career of Arbuckle in front and behind camera.MOMA will screen some newly and recently restored Arbuckle shorts(as early as 1913), his directorial work, including the newly discovered, restored Al St.John cult classic, "DYNAMITE DOGGIE"(1925) and ending with Roscoe's sound films he made for Viatphone.
