I know this might be a bit odd in the Golden age Funnies thread, usually we have a HOM thread in TTT. What are your opinions of Carl Barks late tale "The Heedless Horseman". I "ll post my toughts later in this thread.

Hey this is a neat idea!

I rate it a 'miss'. I don't care for Barks' non-Magica stories of the 60s with a few exceptions, and this isn't one of them!

I actually quite like "The Heedless Horseman" a lot—the theme is a good one and the dialogue in particular is IMHO wonderful.
But it's a bit illogical in places, so it ends up paling beside the vastly superior "Treasure of Marco Polo," published just a few months earlier.

I tought "The Heedless Horseman" was a hit. I remember reading this during the Spring Break last year. What jumped out was Carl Bark's timing gags with the Beaglemite and the chaos. It's almost like calling the actors to a film right away. Has anyone read "The Heedless Horseman" to Doug Goodwin's Ant& Aarvark music I highly recomend it.

BTW Thad, Thanks for the commpliment.:bugs2:
